Back in January I helped direct and style a photo shoot for one of my friend’s brand project. She also wanted to feature the folk skirts we made in our first year of college, however she wanted to juxtapose the warm, homely folk skirts with an contemporary urban twist.
I liked the idea of featuring a raw urban edge by styling the skirts with chunky jewellery, heavy make-up and leather accessories (such as the leather gloves and converses), I thought the clean asymmetric lines of the off the shoulder top gave the whole look a subtle form of sophistication and femininity.
I have just finished editing the images and thought that posting these photos were long over due! I hope you like them!
